RSS launches its water efficiency awareness campaign

The Royal Scientific Society has initiated a water efficiency awareness campaign, which aims to introduce its new Water Efficiency Laboratory services. The Water Efficiency Laboratory is the latest addition to the RSS Laboratories, and was inaugurated earlier this year under the patronage of HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, President of El Hassan Science City and The Royal Scientific Society.

Dr. Bashar Al Nabulsi, the Executive Director of Construction and Materials Science Institute, said: “this workshop aims to introduce the capabilities of the RSS Water Efficiency laboratory in different areas of sanitary tools, and water-consuming electrical equipment, as well as, creating awareness of the importance of using efficient water saving devices.”

He added: “This workshop is only the beginning of a series of training workshops that will enrich our campaign to create awareness about water efficiency targeting different group of manufacturers, suppliers of water consuming tools, in addition to relevant official public and private sector representatives”.

The workshop includes different awareness and technical lectures provided by the Ministry of Water and Irrigation, Jordan Institution for Standards and Metrology, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Jordanian Contractors Association, as well as, the RSS Water Efficiency Laboratory team.

It is worth mentioning that the laboratory is equipped with the latest technology to conduct tests according to the National and International water efficiency standards and is the first of its kind in the region.

Dr. Al Nabulsi thanked the team that worked extensively on preparing and executing this workshop namely: Eng. Amani Mahasneh, Mr. Ahmad Shaheen, Mr. Emad Abu Irtaimeh , and Mr. Ghassan Abdah.
