The Data Centre serves as the backbone of the Royal Scientific Society’s (RSS) ICT infrastructure, delivering cutting-edge, campus-wide technology services. It offers a comprehensive suite of support solutions, including the hosting, management, and maintenance of the RSS private cloud a central hub for operational systems, productivity tools, and secure data storage.

With a strong focus on cybersecurity, the Data Centre ensures the protection of critical infrastructure and information assets by implementing robust security measures and best practices. It also provides secure IT communication channels that enable seamless collaboration across departments, partners, and stakeholders.

In response to the growing demands of scientific research and big data analytics, the Centre is dedicated to developing a flexible, user-driven High-Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure. By staying ahead of technological advancements, the Data Centre supports advanced research, safeguards digital operations, and empowers the RSS with reliable, future-ready IT services.

Our Divisions

Information Technology Operations Division

The Information Technology Operations Division is responsible for maintaining and evolving the Royal Scientific Society’s private cloud infrastructure. From provisioning new servers to managing complex systems and services, our dedicated team ensures smooth, secure, and uninterrupted operations across the organization.

Beyond day-to-day IT management, we offer expert technical consultations and support digital initiatives. With a strong commitment to building a robust, scalable, and future-ready cloud environment, we empower the RSS with innovative, efficient, and resilient IT solutions tailored to meet evolving needs.

Cyber Security Division

The Cybersecurity Division is dedicated to safeguarding the Royal Scientific Society’s digital infrastructure, ensuring a secure and resilient IT environment. Our core responsibilities include managing advanced security systems and services, monitoring and maintaining network equipment, and developing comprehensive data protection policies.

We are committed to enforcing best practices in cybersecurity to stay ahead of emerging threats. In addition, we provide expert consultations and responsive support across the RSS ecosystem, working proactively to protect sensitive information, ensure compliance.
