The Knowledge Technologies Department harnesses the wealth of RSS knowledge and data assets, ensuring their effective management and utilisation by offering insights, predictive outcomes, and implementing data-centric solutions. The department addresses real-world challenges by leveraging the power of RSS data and knowledge assets through advanced analytics and employing artificial intelligence in the domains of environment, water, and energy.

Moreover, Knowledge Technologies delivers end-to-end process automation, develops decision support systems within the RSS, and imparts a layer of intelligence to in-house developed systems that cater to the needs of the RSS and its partners.

In addition to developing data-centric solutions, the department offers specialized consultation services to support organizations in optimizing their use of data, streamlining operations, and embracing emerging technologies such as AI and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Our Divisions

Applied Artificial Intelligence Division

The Applied Artificial Intelligence Division capitalises on emerging opportunities in the RSS's areas of expertise, including the environment, energy, and sustainability. By harnessing artificial intelligence, the division empowers machines to emulate human abilities like reasoning, knowledge representation, planning, learning, natural language processing, perception, motion, manipulation, and social intelligence. This results in innovative solutions with real-world applications.

Decision Support & Automation Division

This division offers cutting-edge technological solutions for automating business processes and decision support systems, aimed at enhancing performance within the RSS and its partners. This division supports decision-makers by facilitating the tracking of key performance indicators through advanced diagnostic and predictive reporting tools. This approach enhances decision-making, leverages opportunities, maximizes revenues, mitigates risks, and optimises the utilisation of organisational resources.

Data Research Division

The Data Research Division oversees the entire life cycle of RSS data and knowledge to unveil patterns and extract valuable insights using data science. Additionally, it guides the practices, policies, and procedures for data and knowledge management at the RSS, while implementing the necessary technologies to ensure their effective execution.

Internal Systems Division

The Internal Systems Division offers advanced technological solutions to enhance performance throughout the RSS campus, including PSUT and hosted entities. Our highly effective solutions are managed and bolstered by a dedicated team of professionals with diverse expertise in enterprise resource planning (ERP) and fundamental organisational solutions.
